I still chuckle at the picture above.

Anyways, I highly recommend the G.I. Joe/Cobra written by Gage and Costa or the G.I. Joe Origins comics for anyone who's interested in this game. Not necessities, by any means, but definitely solid muse fuel. If you can buy or download 'em, do it.

Is there a Snake-Eyes one? I have no doubt there is, but you never know...

I remember there was a whole "Declassified" miniseries on Snake-Eyes at one point, but I can't remember if it was Devil's Due or IDW that published it...

He's also had a pretty sizable role in just about everything else that I've been reading. He's popular like that ;)

Yeah, he's a pretty popular guy - even though he's quite anti-social.

I'm going to watch the movie on Blu-ray tonight, just for kicks and to see if it isn't 'that' bad the second time around. It might grow on me.

Hahah, I did the same thing a couple weeks ago. Now that the frustration over the way Cobra Commander and other things were handled has long since past, I'm able to find more things that I do like about the flick.

That said, the current crop of IDW comics are a far better depiction of both Joe and Cobra.

Again I would like to state that the Commander's name is not Rex and if he is portrayed by any actor from 3rd Rock from the Sun it'd be Jon Lithgow or the hot redhead. :P

It wasn't that bad.

Still more than a few things wrong, but what can you do, eh? At least Snake-Eyes didn't speak. That's all that mattered (to me, anyway, heh).

Some of the CGI on blu-ray is a little crappy, too. It's amazing how some movie makers think they can 'fake' something, only to have it look like an old PS2 game when seen in High Def - such as Duke and Ripcord's faces while in those accelerator suits... ew.

I'm not the only one who noticed that too.  It was a little weak sometimes but they did well.  I dunno why but when Ripcord ejected from the raven I got all giddy when the Strato Viperesque helmet came out to protect him.  My big problem the ending felt kinda Turtles II anticlimatic.  Bad guys go through a transformation into a serious threat and it...ends after an awkward two minute scene.

Bloody Sequel bait!!!  >_< :P

Well, I think we can all offer up a small prayer of thanks that Cobra Commander did not turn in to a seven-foot pro-wrestler with plastic armor.

Agreed though. Keeping Snake-Eyes mute helped a lot.

True but it didn't help that EVERY turtles game afterwards had you fight the Shredder that never was fought.

Though it saddens me that Storm Shadow died, however the bad guys needed a major casualty.

Here's hoping for Major Bludd and the Dreadnoks in Movie II.

By the way the movie has me tempted to do this...would anyone have any objections to me making The Pre Commander character of the Doctor as a Cobra or Iron Grenaider scientist/weapons researcher?  I may make fun of who played him but I like the look.:P

I wouldn't see any issue with it. Cobra has lots of scientists and researchers in their employ. They're whipping up all kinds of new faces on both sides in the IDW series.
