STORY:
The movie begins with a monster attacking the submarine attached to a research vessel. Unfortunately for the monster the vessel has Dr. Saotome in it and soon Getta Robo G is on it's way. They combine into Getta Posidon and dive into the ocean. Soon they discover a gigantic monster living underneatht he waters and moving toward Tokyo. Posidon attacks it with it's missiles but they do nothing. They are just absorbed. Getta Robo and the ship withdraw. In a special meeting involving the professors from the three series (Dr. Yumi representing Great Mazinger) decide that there is only one recourse to save Tokyo. Attack the monster with the Giant Robot Army, Getta Robo G, Grandizer, Double Splider, Great Mazinger, Diana A, Venus Ace, and Boss Robot (well they didn't actually invite him but he makes his own way).
The robots are launched to search the seas for the monster while Diana A and Venus Ace stay behind to protetc the city. Tetsuya searches the ocean and finds something large swimming in the waters and fires only to barely miss Boss Robot. Frustrated, he leaves but the real monster (now called Dragonsaurus) comes from the oceans and begins to swallow Boss Robot. Great Mazinger attacks it with it's boomerang but it is absorbed and Great mazinger is grabbed by one of Dragonsaurus' tentacle heads. Boss is swallowed and Great Mazinger looks to follow when Grandizer and the rest show up. The Getta ships combine into Dragon and they all attack allowing Great Mazinger to escape. They all attack the monster but it goes underneath the waves.
They return for refueling and repairs. They are all saddened by the apparent death of Boss. Koji blames Tetsuya and they almost get into a fight. Then the radio sounds, it's Boss from the monster's stomach. He is alright but the robot is being disintegrated. The robots take off again and Great Mazinger allows himself to be swallowed. In the stomach he finds a huge amount of oil, proving that the monster does eat oil. By now onyl the head of Boss Robot is left. He can't use the jet because it cause a oil explosion se he uses Boss' propellor to escape. Once he frees himself and Boss the Giant Robo Army attacks in force. The monster seems only annoyed as it heads for Japan.
The monster arrives in Japan and defeats all the robots and begins to feast on the oil. As the pilots get themselves up for one last attack Tetsuya has an idea. Attack the stomach. Benkai observes the stomach is probably in the bottom and a plan is formed. Getta Robo G and Great Mazinger will throw some gass tanks into Dragonsaurs' mouth so that the explosion int he stomach will be greater. The robots take off to execute their plan.
The robots attack with everything they have. Grandizer combines with Double Spilder and cut open the stomach with the Double Cutter and the Double Harken. With oil leaking out now is the time. Getta Dragon fires the Shine Sparkle with Grandizer close behind with the Space Thunder and Great Mazinger with the Thunder Break. The combined might of the attack is successful and Dragonsaurus is destroyed. The six tired heros fly back to Japan. The end.
OPINION:
WHAT A RIDE!!
This is the greatest team up I have ever seen. Never mind that it has, arguably, the three most popular robots of all time in one video it also manages to put in a lot of the supporting casts! While much of the screen time is taken up by Great Mazinger and Grandizer it is still pretty well rounded in time alotment. It also took a team effort to beat Dragonsaurus, no one robot can claim most of the glory. I wish that there had been a enemy with more personality (maybe alliences of the different enemies) instead of something to break stuff and take hits but the fights were still pretty good anyway. I pity the poor alien race that tries to take over the Earth with all three series in one timeline. :)
