GAIKING

The evil Zelons plan on invading the Earth in order to claim it for they're new home. They're home planet is being destroyed by a Black Hole and thye are in a great hurry. Dr. Hi-Tech builds the Great Space Dragon to defend the Earth against this invasion. The most potent weapon the Dragon has is the mighty Gaiking. Aries is picked to pilot Gaiking because of his special powers(which are never fully explained to me). The Zelons try to kill him but the Dragon crew stops them but his wrist is hurt on the attempt. Thus ends Aries' baseball career and his giant robot pilot one begins.

Well the page got cleaned up a bit. Thanks a lot to, well the name was missing from the Email with the info but I'll put it up when I find out. Although my page still has some wholes I think I can be happy with it.

Gaiking was created by Dr. Hi-Tech and piloted by Sanshiro Shiwobuku. His special power was the ability to put power into things. For example, he was being chased by a truck on episode so he grabed a rock, charged it up, and blew up the truck. Over the series Gaiking gained many new weapons and powers.

WEAPONS:

HYDRO BLAZER: This has the potential to be Gaiking's most powerful weapon. Sanshiro could use his powers to increase the power of the weapon. This came from the nose of the Dragon face so the Space Dragon could also use it.

COUNTER PUNCH: This is the standard flying fist attack that so many of the Giant Robots used. It really does not have anything to set it apart.

COUNTER CROSS: Gaiking could throw the plates on the front of his legs as razor sharp boomerangs. While they looked cool these were often inaffective as they simply bounced off most of the time and almost never actually made it back to Gaiking like a boomerang should.

FLAME BREATH(Forget exact name for weapon): Gaiking's face plates would fly off his face, revealing the face's inner structure. Without the plates Gaiking could emit flames from his "mouth."

LASER BEAM: The beams were similar to Mazinger's except they looked diffrent when activated. Gaiking used his Laser Beams a lot less frequently and with less success thna Mazinger.

ELECTRON CHAIN: Two beams would come from the Dragon Face's eyes and then tangle together into one powerful beam. A good all around weapon for Gaiking. The Space dragon Could also use it.

GREAT BITE(Again, forgot specific name for weapon): Gaiking would use the mouth of the Dragon Face to bite enemies in two. I never actually got to see this weapon being used so it was not very frequent. Probably because Gaiking had to get too close to use it.

THUNDER HORNS(Another I forget the name for): Gaiking would stab a enemy with his horns then send electricity through them. Not often used, probably for the sam ereason as the Great Bite.

THE HAND DRILLS(Ok, I really do a bad job with these :) The Dragon would launch drills that attacked to Gaiking's hands. I don't think I have to say for what he used them for.

The Great Space Dragon(or Daiku Maryu) was created by Dr. Hi-Tech and piloted by Pete Richardson, Sanshiro's chief rival. All of the crew in the Dragon also have special powers like Sanshiro but only the stars of the show get to show it.

WEAPONS:

GIANT CUTTER: One of the Space Dragon's most effective weapons. A giant blade would come out from underneath the Dragon.

GIANT DRILL: This weapon was rarely as effective as it was suppose to be. The Dragon would launch three missiles that would link up into one giant drill missile.

LASER CANNONS: The Space Dragon had two main laser cannons it used. Not too effective. Mostly for decoration most of the time.

GIANT PINCER: A claw would shoot from the launch bay of the Dragon and attach itself to the exit. The claw would then open.

GIANT WHEEL: OK, I know I'm wrong here but I really have no idea what this was called. I;m drawing a total blank here. The tail end would attack to the part left vacant after the head launched. The dragon would then begin to spin and break through it's target.

SPINAL CUTTER VARIANT: The spines of the Dragon would join together thus the Dragon would becoem a giant cutter.

GAIKING VARIANT: Once the Space Dragon and Gaiking were traped in a area of high gravity in space. To escape they needed the Giant Wheel but the Dragon had been damaged to the point that it could not fold all the way. Gaiking filled in for the section missing. When the Dragon when for the Spinal Cutter Variant like this Gaiking would use his Flame Breath to make the wheel even stronger.

FLYING PINCER: The Dragon would launch the Giant Pincer and a add-on which would become a replacement head for the Dagon. It had the PINCER LASER whihc was one of the most powerful weapons the Dragon had.

MISSLES: The Dragon could launch missiles from it's front Spines.

The Great Space Dragon also had three smaller vehicles. These were used for missions that didn't need Gaiking.

VEHICLES:

BADRA piloted by Yamagatake. It was a tank that looked like a triceratops with wheels. It was mainly a land vehicle but it could also fly.

No idea of the name by it's pilot is Bunta Hayami. Following the dinosaur style, this vehicle looked like a Brontosaurus. It was primarilaly used for unerwater missions although it could also operate outside.

SKY LAR piloted by Fuan Lee. Being the air vehicle it would follow that it looked like a pteranadon. This vehicle had to stay in the air.
